Based on the strong herritage of the Marimekko graphical universe, and designed as a platform for displaying the textiles of the printing mill.
The series was first of all designed for the Marimekko stores, but was very much inspired by what furniture would look like in a residential setting.
The base of the Lean series, is a solid wood construction with classic dowel joined elements inspired by classic woodworking. This structure bring the notion of hands holding the oversized foam cushions.
The series where displayed at the Marimekko store in Copenhagen, during the 3 Days Of Design, in a special edition, with picmented oil, in classic Marimekko colors, and a colaboration with Kvadrat, to promote the launch of Lean, fiber and resin based textile.

The collection is design as classic home typologi: A sofa, a lounge chair, daybed, pouf, and a stool.
The volume of the cushions makes for an incredible soft and comfortable seating.
