Pausa collection explores the limits of what can be done with woven Arurog, and is a merge between a contemporary design process, and the meticulous skills of seasoned craft people.
The large round egde is a signature of the Pausa collection, and it creates a soft and inviteing corner that you would what to feel. and the cushions likewise, a structured shape but with a soft round edge.
The design process of the pausa collection is using both computer aided design, in combination with handdrawn sketches, switching between conceptual and development phases.
A main feature of the seating for the collection is larger footprint, a seat depth, that means you can sit with your legs into the chair, and a backrest that creates a barrier towards the back.
Each element in the series has a specific height, width and weight to compliment eachother, creating an eclectic collection, to make all the elements belong together, without becomming to monotonous
